Joey helps lead our work in the ASEAN Region, where he is based. Joey was a Founder and the Chief Architect of the G-Cash mobile payments service at Globe Telecom in the Philippines, one of the most successful mobile money programs globally, with 2+ million registered accounts. He was also the Chief of Party for recent large-scale payments-focused USAID projects in Afghanistan, Indonesia and Philippines, focused on cash-to-card conversion strategies for emerging economies. He is experienced in working with a wide range of public, private and regulatory stakeholders to develop and drive adoption of innovative payments solutions.
Joey is based primarily in the Philippines and spends considerable time in Indonesia and Singapore. He is fluent in Tagalog and conversational in Bahasa Indonesia.
